How To Meet Single Women – The Where and How of It

Every single guy wants to meet single women…the question though is where and how? While you can really find single women anywhere, I have outlined some of the best places and how to do it.

Before I drop some knowledge on you I need to put a couple of things out there. Approaching women can be uncomfortable and scary, every guys knows that, and while I’ve done my best to compile a list that eliminates the fear as much as possible, it will still exist sometimes. You are going to have to deal with it. Over time you will get better and better at fighting those demons and your approach anxiety will disappear.

Also, some places will be more comfortable for you than others. I know that personally I have no trouble meeting women in bars, but meeting women during the day is a bit more difficult. I feel more fear during the day, but guess what? I do it anyway. You need to find out which places you are most comfortable and on your game which is why I recommend you give every place a shot so you can find your sweet spot.

Okay so here we go:

Bars – This is nothing new or revolutionary, everyone knows they can meet single women at bars. There are so many ways to do this that it is beyond the scope of this post. Most people over complicate this and think they have to say something clever or witty to start a conversation. In reality, simplicity can be king in bars. Women are there to have fun and meet people so they are more receptive to approaches than in other places. For years I used only one line: “Hi, my name is Jax. What’s your name?” And it has worked every single time I used it in a bar. Just be confident and keep it simple.

Clubs- Clubs are pretty similar to bars except it is generally louder and a little less personal. You can meet girls on the dance floor or by the bar. The key here is to move them somewhere quieter once you have struck up a conversation or danced a bit. Girls here are generally more in it for the fun and dancing as opposed to a serious relationship.

Grocery Store- A supermarket or grocery store can be a great place to meet single women and get some phone numbers. As long as they aren’t in a hurry, women are typically pretty relaxed and open in grocery stores. An easy way to get a conversation going is to ask them about a product you are looking at or say something funny about what they are shopping for. These are pretty situational so you have to think on your feet.

If you seem to have some chemistry with her you should say something along the lines of “I actually gotta run right now but we should meet up sometime, how could we make that happen?” She will most likely offer something up such as “well you could get my phone number…” And boom you are all set. Plus, it was her idea to give you her number which makes it more likely for you to meet again.

Happy Hour- Happy hours a bit different than your typical bar situation. They can either be at restaurants or bars and are earlier in the day than the “bar scene.” Women have just gotten off work and are having a drink to unwind. They are glad to be done with the work day and want to relax and enjoy themselves. They are also generally group settings with combined tables which makes it VERY easy to get a conversation going.

School or Classes – This could either be college classes or local community classes. Whether it’s multivariable calculus or underwater basket weaving, classes are an awesome place to meet single women. It is very easy to talk to women in these settings because you are both there  for the same class and can find some common ground very quickly. Ask her a question to make her feel smart or help her out to demonstrate your value. Either way you win.

The Gym – This one is tricky because some people go to the gym to actually train and workout. You should be one of them, meaning you don’t talk to women until the workout is over. That is what real men do. It is attractive to a woman to see a man that is serious about the gym. That being said, if an absolute stunner shows up and you want to meet her, do so.

First off, don’t talk to a woman if she is on the treadmill or another cardio machine. That is stupid and she won’t like you for it. Wait till she is done. My number one tip would be not say that she is doing an exercise wrong or doing a stupid exercise, but instead to offer her a better one for what she is doing. I will write a longer article on this soon because it is a more in depth and difficult place than most as some girls just aren’t receptive in a gym. Also, do one of those silly classes women love. Do yoga, if nothing else you will feel relaxed and check out some quality downward dog in the process.

Hopefully this chick will be at your gym…

Public Transportation- This one doesn’t apply to everyone but it can be a goldmine to meet single women. When I was in college, my roommate would meet girls on the bus all the time. He had a clever story he would tell them and ask for their opinion. It worked like gangbusters. The good thing is women know you aren’t going to talk to them all day because you can’t stay on public transportation forever. It keeps them from thinking “Oh god, how long is this guy going to talk to me for?” If she is really into what she is doing, you should leave her be as you will just annoy her. I’ll write my roommate’s killer story for you another day so you have an example.

Coffee Shops – Starbucks is always packed with single women. This is a great place to ask for a woman’s opinion on something. Think of something interesting that could use a woman’s perspective. Then approach her with something like “Can I get your opinion on something?” and tell her a story that you can both talk about. Or you can find a local coffee shop full of hipsters and “earthy” girls if that’s your kind of thing. Hippie girls tend to be open and friendly, just beware of armpit hair.

Church – If you are religious you can meet single women at your church/place of worship. Get involved in it and meet women there. They will share your beliefs and you will automatically have something to talk about.

Online- This is not something that I have any experience with, but I have heard great things. A simple Google search should yield sufficient results. I have heard good things about match.com but that’s all I know as of right now. I will do an in depth post on it once I have done the research.

So there you have it. That rounds out an awesome list of places you can meet single women. You now have plenty of information on where and how to approach beautiful women. Don’t just read this and then do nothing. Take some action and find out your favorite place to find single women.
